In most cases you will only convert a small part of your existing application to Visual LANSA components. The bulk of the application probably should continue to use the universal user interface of LANSA, ensuring execution on green screens, Web browsers and Windows.
Identify the forms your users really want to exploit Windows functionality. There might not be that many. Then use Visual LANSA to rapidly add explorer-style menus, graphs, and grids to them.
