LANSA Version 13 introduced long names for LANSA objects. Each LANSA object has two names – a long name and an identifier. Refer to the LANSA Object Names in the LANSA Technical Reference Guide for further details on long names.
Lansa Open supports the use of either the long name or identifier to identify files, fields, processes and functions. If a function parameter requires a list of field names, the list may contain all long names, all identifiers or any combination of long names and identifiers.
