The Licensing Report provides a view of the SQL licensing of managed instances within SQL Inventory Manager

Provides provides a view of SQL Licensing information of the managed instances within SQL Inventory Manager. The report contains the data from the SQL Licensing View in instance, it also contains additional columns for custom inventory fields and tags on the managed instances. Refer to Reports Utility for information on how to deploy this report.

 

You can view the following information on the Licensing Report:

  • SQL Server
  • Version
  • Edition
  • Virtual (yes or no)
  • CPU Name
  • # of Sockets
  • # of Logical Processors
  • # of Cores
  • Core Factor
  • Possible Core Licenses
  • Fully Licensed with SA (yes or no)
  • Custom Inventory Fields for Instances


Each custom inventory field should be a separate column with the label “Custom Inventory Field” + Numbering and with the name of the field Append to it. For example, “Custom Inventory Field #1: Department”
The value for the specific custom field will be populated for each record
If there are no custom fields, then do not populate anything for these columns
