REASON
SQL Inventory Manager has detected that the file sizes for tempdb are not equal for one or more SQL Server instances. While this is not a critical error, the size difference can lead to performance problems for tempdb, which is a shared system resource and therefore impacts the entire SQL Server instance.
RESOLUTION
It is a best practice to have tempdb divided into multiple equally sized files, each of which has been pre-sized to lessen the chance of autogrow occurring. If autogrow does occur and the database files are no longer balanced, it would be a good idea to resize the files such that they are the same size again when you are able to.
