Placeholder プロパティは、空であるときに編集に表示されるキャプションを定義します。 

プレースホルダは一般に入力画面に表示され、値を編集に入力すると消えます。

例

以下の例は、 4 つのアドレスフィールドを示しています。ラベルの左にスペースを使用するのではなく、フィールドに目的のコンテンツが表示されます。
