LANSA BI is a Business Intelligent data analytics application.
It automatically transforms insights into reports and presentation slide decks in minutes.
LANSA BI is powered by the Yellowfin software and its AI machine learning technology.
LANSA BI also supports AI-enabled Natural Language Query (NLQ). Users can ask questions in natural language without needing to follow Guided NLQ syntax. The AI converts the question into valid NLQ syntax, allowing users to quickly generate reports, dashboards, or Story content.
AI can also generate suggested questions based on the metadata configuration of a dataset. Selecting a suggested question automatically loads it into the question bar, where it can be executed or modified.
AI functionality requires LANSA BI to be connected to an external AI model provider configured by the administrator. Supported providers include leading AI model platforms configured using a Bring Your Own Provider approach.
Access to AI-powered functionality can be controlled by security role, allowing administrators to manage which users can access AI capabilities.
When AI features are used, metadata such as column names, view descriptions, data types, and reference codes may be sent to the AI model together with the user’s question. Dataset records and values are not transmitted externally.
LANSA BI supports connectivity to a wide range of modern data platforms, including support for additional database technologies introduced in recent releases.
