Before customizing the infrastructure of the PMDB, make sure you:
- installed the Precise FocalPoint
- defined the servers from which to load and retrieve data
- installed the PMDB FocalPoint
- verified using AdminPoint that Precise FocalPoint and PMDB FocalPoint are up and running
- configured the PMDB, as described in the chapters within this reference guide (with MS-SQL and Oracle)
- defined instances in the PMDB to load your data, as described in the Following Section.
