Installation & migration issues

  • SQL Inventory Manager now displays a helpful message when a user attempts to launch the product immediately after installation. (DE20764)
  • An issue preventing use of SQL Inventory Manager after an installation or upgrade with customer ports no longer exists. (DE43629)
  • This version fixes an issue that occurred when users migrated SQL Inventory Manager, resulting in an error message incorrectly stating that a license was expired when it was actually still valid. (DE43337)

General issues 

  • Case-sensitive SQL Server instances no longer cause problems when a user attempts to open SQL Inventory Manager. (DE43860)
  • The "Unable to Monitor WMI" alert now remains in the repository even after more than one page refresh occurs. (DE42657)
  • SQL Inventory Manager now validates the format of the email address entered in the Recipient of test email field of the Email Settings dialog. (DE43235)
  • Users are now properly notified that a service is down no matter which page they are viewing in SQL Inventory Manager. (DE43798) 
  • Users now receive disk size alerts on drives other than C when the volume is in jeopardy of hitting maximum capacity. (DE43830)

Explorer view issues
 

  • All Tag filters set on the Explorer view now properly appear as being in use when applied and remain after an auto refresh. (DE43371 & DE43460) 
  • An issue preventing the View list drop-down from collapsing is resolved. (DE43768)

User account issues

  • Any user account that is logged in to SQL Inventory Manager when an administrator removes the user account from the system, now is immediately logged out of the system. (DE40342)
  • Users not assigned the db_owner role on each SQL Inventory Manager repository now can log in to SQL Inventory Manager. (DE41882)

Instance issues

  • An issue causing SQL Server 2012 SP2 to appear as "SQL Server SP1" in the Instances section of the Overview no longer occurs. (DE43226)
  • The Add Domain dialog box in the Manage Discovery Options now allows users to enter service credentials or their Windows account information when attempting to add a domain. (DE41423)
  • The Add SQL Server Instance wizard now successfully adds an instance even if the user changes the Account Type multiple times in the Credentials window. (DE43260)
  • This version fixes an issue that caused SQL Inventory Manager to return as valid any Windows authentication account credentials including invalid credentials. (DE43347)
  • SQL Inventory Manager now correctly stores the SQL Server version number on the database when an instance is enabled or disabled. (DE43483)
  • SQL Inventory Manager now displays en error message when a user attempts to create a tag with more than 20 characters while applying the new tag to multiple instances. (DE43272)
  • An extra, unnecessary column no longer appears in exported reports for the Discovered and Ignored views. (DE42832)

Monitoring issues

  • The wording in Health Check recommendation titles now matches throughout the product. (DE20677)
  • Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox users no longer receive multiple confirmation messages when refreshing a Health Check recommendation in the Overview or Instance Details view. (DE42681)
