Patch update instructions are provided here for the Supported Versions of Aqua Data Studio. Contact Licensing
for information on unsupported versions.

Existing customers can access the Aqua Data Studio release and patch files for Supported Versions by logging into the
customer support portal.

Version 23.1

Upgrading from an earlier release:

Download the latest release and patch files from the customer support portal.

If you've already installed a previous version of Aqua Data Studio, it is best to install the newest version in a different directory (the installer will pick a new directory by default).

Aqua Data Studio will automatically detect all of the settings of your previous installation, including the license information. No other steps are necessary. You may uninstall the earlier version at your convenience if you are no longer using it.

Patch installation:

You must have version 23.1 installed to patch with any ads-23.1.XX-patch.zip files. 23.1.XX = Latest build version Change Log

Updating on Windows

  1. Move your C:\Program Files\Aqua Data Studio\lib\ads.jar file and C:\Program Files\Aqua Data Studio\lib\aqua-lib.jar file to C:\backup_folder\
  2. Download "http://www.aquafold.com/download/v23.1.0/ads-23.1.XX-patch.zip" and copy the contents of the unzipped directory into C:\Program Files\Aqua Data Studio\lib\
  3. Run Aqua Data Studio through your shortcut or datastudio script.

Updating on Linux

  1. Download "http://www.aquafold.com/download/v23.1.0/ads-23.1.XX-patch.zip"
  2. Unzip and copy the contents of the included directory.
  3. You may then paste its contents into your [DATASTUDIO_INSTALL]/lib/ directory, overwriting the same-named files.

Updating on macOS

I. macOS GUI
  1. Download "http://www.aquafold.com/download/v23.1.0/ads-23.1.XX-patch.zip"
  2. Unzip and copy the contents of the directory.
  3. Find your current Application icon of Aqua Data Studio. Right-click on it and select "View package contents".
  4. Navigate to Contents/Java/
  5. Drag the contents of ads-23.1.XX-patch.zip into the folder and choose "Replace" when you get a prompt.
II. macOS COMMAND LINE
  1. Download "http://www.aquafold.com/download/v23.1.0/ads-23.1.XX-patch.zip" to your Desktop.
  2. Unzip its contents.

  3. Open a Terminal window and issue the following copy command:

    If Aqua Data Studio is located on your Desktop... 
==> cp -R ~/Desktop/ads-23.1.XX-patch/ ~/Desktop/"Aqua Data Studio.app"/Contents/Java/ 

If Aqua Data Studio is located in your Applications folder... 
==> cp -R ~/Desktop/ads-23.1.XX-patch/ /Applications/"Aqua Data Studio.app"/Contents/Java/
