Upgrade checklist
To successfully upgrade your Microsoft SQL Server environment to this build, complete the procedures outlined in the following table. These procedures support upgrades from SQL Business Intelligence Manager versions 1.1 or later.

| Ensure your Windows logon account has local administrator permissions on the computer you intend to upgrade. |

| Upgrade your SQL Business Intelligence Manager installation. |
To successfully upgrade SQL Business Intelligence Manager, your installation needs to be running IDERA Dashboard 2.2 or later. The installer detects if your installation is running an earlier version of the IDERA Dashboard and displays an alert suggesting you install the latest version of the IDERA Dashboard (bundled with the SQL Business Intelligence Manager installer).
